Pride Hockey accommodates U15 to U17 hockey players. Practices are every Tuesday evening at the Randburg Hockey Stadium on the astro turfs, with league matches played on a Friday evening.
Our Pride section is normally run by a parent, who’s child or children play in this section. While the club provides coaches, we also require parents to volunteer as team managers. Any team entered into the Friday night league requires a minimum number of sixteen players and a team manager.
Each team manager works closely with the Pride Head, coaches, umpires and the Treasurer. Team managers also ensure that an umpire is available for the league games.
Coaching
The focus of our Pride coaches is to instill the basic techniques in our teenage players and to prepare them for competitive matches. These coaches also manage players with diverse sets of skills, ensuring that each player improves week to week and has fun on the hockey field.
